Video Conferencing

Video Conferencing

Crucial to the outcome of a successful video conferencing system is the shape and design of the table and the location of each participant in the room.
In our experience this is at least as important as selecting the best technology. Of vital importance is the shape of the tables involved.
Video conferencing meetings can include anywhere from 2 to 15 people at each end of the meeting, and telepresence systems up to 30 or more people at each end.  For each individual to be clearly visible to the cameras, and for them to have an uninterrupted view of the screens requires careful planning to ensure the ergonomics of the table meet this vital necessity.

Telepresence refers to a set of technologies which allow people to feel they are present or to give the appearance of being present, in a meeting with remote participants. Telepresence requires that the users  have the feeling of being in another location. (Wikipedia)

The shape of the table is critical with Telepresence systems, as they employ multiple camera’s and screens. The design is crucial to the successful deployment of the system.
